Was taking some shots to get an idea for something to draw for my art class and I thought this made a good shot. Minimal digital manipulations on this one. I heightened the contrast a bit and added a lighting effect, cause I wanted the lighting to look cool on this photo. As I was working on the pic on PS, I realized it reminded me of Nicki from The Vampire Lestat, by Anne Rice. The words in the pic are taken from Rice's novel. They are describing the melody of the song that Nicki is playing at the Theatre des Vampires, when he was just recently turned and Lestat made him play. Thinking it would turn him around. Indeed it did,...he went from a mute to a manic....hehe.  Anyway, I thought the words fit nicely. And, I think its a nice tribute to Anne Rice's wonderful work. Oh, it's a decorative violin made of ceramic, I believe, to hang on the wall. It can't be played, it's just for show.
